Mariette Brodeur has a robust background in law, policy, and strategic planning. She combines exceptional relationship-building and communication skills to forge deep connections with clients and thoroughly understand their unique financial goals. She is a fierce advocate, fighting tirelessly for clients, concentrating on consumer and business debt solutions, commercial litigation, and advising businesses and nonprofits on fiduciary duties, governance, and other strategic matters.

Mariette has delivered comprehensive legal research services for attorney clients and a national litigation discovery firm, specializing in motion drafting, document review, and analysis for diverse, complex civil litigation matters. She ensures clients receive the best possible outcomes, through her unique ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and foster trust.

Mariette clerked for the Honorable Charles Johnson, Presiding Judge for the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals, where she honed her legal acumen and gained invaluable insights into the judicial process. She then served as Associate Counsel for the Iowa Department of Public Health, providing critical legal support on public health issues. Following this, she became the Health and Human Services Policy Advisor for the Honorable Thomas J. Vilsack, Governor of Iowa, where she played a pivotal role in shaping state health policies.

As the Principal and Founder of MTB Consulting Group, LLC, since 2020, Mariette has been delivering strategic consulting services for individuals and organizations in asset management, fiduciary services, estate planning, and philanthropy. Previously, Mariette served as Vice President and Trust Officer for a boutique bank and trust company, managing trust accounts and ensuring compliance with fiduciary regulations and tax law for her diverse clients .

Mariette is married to Peter Goplerud, and they have two grown daughters, Zoe (married to Matt) and Ava. They recently welcomed their first grandchild, Jackson, and a Labradoodle puppy, Poppy. Outside of working to serve her clients, MB enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, and serving on numerous nonprofit boards, working to uplift individuals and build stronger communities.
